VINTAGE DESCRIPTION

During 2015, snowfall patterns were sparse and anomalous. Starting in mid-February 2016, on the other hand, copious snowfalls over the course of a month resulted in a good amount of fresh snow, but not enough to result in a significant water supply due to complete melting about a month ahead of average. Rare but abundant precipitations and some hail, not always in the norm, have sometimes alarmed us, but the hot and dry summer has brought everything back to a "regular" vintage that allowed us to reach the autumn with vigorous and consistent Nebbiolo grapes (unlike Vespolina, a bit more subdued) with a higher aromatic potential than 2015 that led to extremely elegant wines.
