We vinify everything in a small but historic cellar in the pulsating heart of the new high Piedmontese Renaissance located in Lessona. Here I still use old cement tanks for young wines and large barrels of Slavonian oak for aging wines.

THE SOILS
The land covers the whole Alto Piemonte area, from the alluvial pebbles of the hills of Salussola and Dorzano near the lake of Viverone, the sands of Mottalciata, the ancient ones of Lessona, the volcanic porphyries of Bramaterra and back to the recent alluvial soils with sandy texture of Sizzano.
GEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Each Nebbiolo is declined in a different way depending on whether you move only a few meters from one vineyard to another. This is why we decided to describe the peculiarities of the land in Longitude 8, acquiring different parcels over the years in the Alto Piemonte area.
HISTORY
Built at the end of the 19th century, adjacent to the hillside vineyard and on the shore of the Strona stream, Villa Guelpa was sold, restored and expanded in the '30s as a manor house of an important textile factory, before returning to the wine production.
